Top Rated Sites
Water and Woods Top 100
A lot of webmasters today are in search of creative opportunities to drive visitors back to their website without the expense of large pay-per-click bidding programs or expensive advertising. Our top 100 program offers a free opportunity to everyone with an outdoor related website that conforms to some minmal standards. How does all this work? Read on.
First of course you need to register your website. We ask for nothing other than the basic information and description of your site. You will be automatically presented with a snippet of code that should be added to your webpage(s). After registration an administrator will preview your site for the approval process and seek the code that you received. The code will create an image on your website that ranks your traffic and looks like this:

image reflects current #1 ranking website
Only after your site has been approved will it appear on the list. Before joining we suggest that you check the Terms Of Service regarding this program as we do follow these terms very strictly. We are dedicated to running a clean list and, because this is a free program, we have no qualms about deleting websites that have broken these service terms regardless of who you are.
If you are looking for the right vehicle to drive free traffic back to your website then this is an area of our network worth investigating.

Directory Resource
Network Directories
Although we do not pursue links, we do offer the opportunity of a mutual exchange of listings with qualified websites. In all instances we do require that our link first be placed on your website before requesting a reciprocal exchange. On a further note we are not interested in building a huge directory.
From a statistical standpoint we find that we receive more return traffic from those sites who have linked naturally to an organic area within our network sites. Time and again we have found that creating unique quality content has brought more natural listings than any pursuance of singular links. We’re not trying to argue the point of a link exchange, we completely understand the importance and do not need a lesson, yet we base our decision not to chase links or seek exchanges with any noted vigor due to these statistics.
In all we have 3 different directories where you can submit your link at the moment if your websites content is relevant to that particular directory.
Water and Woods directory has a number of categories to choose from. Your site can only appear in a single category so we suggest choosing wisely. There is also a reciprocal link policy to view with some brief explanations on how we list sites.
DeerFever has a directory that is as straight-forward as can be. Only deer hunting or sites that sell deer hunting gear are allowed.
Wisconsin Varminters is also very straight-forward for the fact that your site should pertain to some sort of varmint or predator hunting. We seldom make any exceptions.
Article Submissions
Article Submissions
Our Network thrives on fresh new material and we offer you the opportunity to have your articles published online with a targeted outdoor audience.
Our most noted area of writing exposure comes directly from our Online Magazine at Water and Woods. We house a staff of current authors as well as consider submitted materials from aspiring writers. Our submission process entails the viewing of our article submission policy to ensure that each individual is in understanding of the basic considerations for all materials.
For those authors who are interested in extended exposure we welcome you to consider writing for each issue as a staff author. More information regarding staff authors can be found to the left in our navigation.
We also are interested in those individuals who are dedicated to the sport of deer hunting and have a solid background of writing skills. These individuals may be considered to write as an author for our DeerFever domain which will be dependant upon their materials.
An additional opportunity to submit articles can be found through our Wisconsin Varminters domain that we are constantly developing. This area of writing would entail the knowledge regarding predator hunting situations such as fox and coyote as well as varmint hunting, techniques, and the shooting sports.
In any event we welcome you to submit your materials to each appropriate domain for further evaluation and possibly inclusion into any of these network websites.
